Passiivinen kupari-SFP28-DAC-kaapeli CBO SFP28-DAC-1M 1 m 25GbE Direct Attach

The BlueOptics Passive Copper SFP28 DAC Cable CBO SFP28-DAC-1M is a 1 metre direct-attach cable engineered for 25GbE connections between SFP28 ports. Designed for short-range interconnects in data centres, top-of-rack switches and server pairs, this passive DAC provides a low-latency, low-power alternative to active optical modules. The cable is supplied as a single assembly with SFP28 connectors at both ends for simple plug-and-play installation with compatible 25 Gigabit Ethernet equipment.

Advantages

This passive copper SFP28 DAC offers deterministic latency and minimal signal processing, which helps reduce power consumption compared with active transceivers. Its fixed 1 m length simplifies cable management in dense rack environments and eliminates the need for separate transceiver modules and fibre patch cords. As a direct-attach solution, it provides reliable electrical performance for short-distance 25GbE links and is suitable for high-density port deployments.

Suitable for

• Short-range 25GbE links between switches and servers
• Top-of-rack (ToR) connections in data centre racks
• Server-to-server interconnects within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-density switch fabrics where low latency and reduced power draw are required

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 on both ends
• Cable type: Passive copper direct-attach
• Supported data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet
• Length: 1 metre
• Typical use: Short-range, intra-rack connectivity
• Latency: Low, passive operation (no active signal conditioning)

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that the connected devices are powered and configured to use 25GbE links. No additional drivers or configuration are needed for the physical layer beyond standard network interface and switch setup. For best results, route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive stress on the connector housings.

Recommendations

Use this 1 m passive DAC for intra-rack connections and short-distance links where a low-power, low-latency electrical connection is sufficient. Verify compatibility with the SFP28 ports on your switches and servers and avoid exposing the cable to temperatures or mechanical stresses outside the equipment manufacturer’s specified ranges.
