CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M 7 m aktiivinen optinen kaapeli 25GbE:lle

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q7M is a 7 meter active optical cable engineered for 25GbE SFP28 connections. It delivers a pre-terminated, low-latency fibre link between compatible switches, network interface cards and servers, eliminating the need for separate transceivers. Designed for short-reach data centre topologies and high-density rack interconnects, this AOC offers reduced weight and immunity to electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives.

Advantages

This active optical cable provides plug-and-play connectivity with factory-terminated SFP28 connectors for reliable signal integrity and consistent 25GbE performance. The optical medium lowers insertion loss and supports long-term stability in dense installations. Because it integrates the optical transceiver functionality within the cable assembly, it simplifies inventory and installation, reduces heat and power consumption at the port, and offers improved EMI resistance versus copper twinax solutions.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links in data centres
• High-density rack spine and leaf interconnects
• Top-of-rack connectivity for 25GbE NICs and switches
• Environments requiring low weight and immunity to electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 to SFP28 active optical cable
• Data rate: 25 Gigabit Ethernet support
• Length: 7 metres
• Cable type: single assembly with integrated optical transceivers (active optical cable)
• Latency: low-latency optical transmission suitable for short-reach links
• Physical attributes: lightweight fibre construction, compact connector form factor

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the latch engages. Ensure the host devices are powered and configured for 25GbE operation; the cable is pre-terminated and requires no additional transceivers or fibre terminations. After insertion, verify link status and network configuration on both endpoints. For hot-plug operations follow your device vendor guidelines to avoid link flapping during firmware or configuration changes.

Recommendations

Route the cable with gentle bends, respecting the minimum bend radius specified by the device or fibre manufacturer. Keep the connector interfaces dust-free when unplugged and avoid tensile stress on the cable assembly. Use the 7 m length for short-reach connections within racks or between adjacent racks; for longer distances select an appropriate alternative solution.
