BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-15M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli SFP+ 15m

The BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-15M-BO InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable SFP+ 15m is an active optical cable (AOC) with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors designed for high-speed short-reach links. With a 15 meter length and multimode fibre construction, this AOC implements integrated transmitters and receivers in each connector to carry optical signals and support 10 Gbit/s class applications. The cable follows MSA-compatible SFP+ form factor conventions and is intended for use in data center interconnects, switch-to-switch links, and other environments requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth connections.

Advantages

This 15 m BlueOptics AOC provides reliable 10G connectivity while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The integrated optical electronics reduce signal conversion points and help maintain consistent performance across short multimode runs. Compatibility with SFP+ ports and MSA form-factor expectations simplifies installation and reduces inventory complexity for professional networking environments.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-15M-BO by inserting each SFP+ connector firmly into compatible SFP+ ports on the devices to be linked. Ensure both devices support active optical cables and the SFP+ form factor. No separate transceivers or patch fibers are required; the integrated transmitters and receivers handle optical conversion. Verify link status and negotiate the appropriate speed and protocol on connected switches, servers or storage systems.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode AOC assemblies. Use this cable for short-reach, high-bandwidth links up to 15 m and keep firmware or port settings consistent across connected equipment to ensure negotiated 10G operation.
