BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-2M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli SFP+ aqua 2m uros/uros

The BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-2M-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable SFP+ Aqua 2m Male/Male is a 2‑metre active optical cable with SFP+ to SFP+ connectors designed for high‑speed short‑reach links. The aqua-coloured cable uses multimode optical transmission and a male‑to‑male SFP+ form factor to connect switches, servers and storage interfaces that accept SFP+ AOC modules. It is intended for environments that require low-latency, high-bandwidth connections over a compact pre‑terminated assembly.

Advantages

This SFP+ active optical cable provides a factory‑terminated, plug‑and‑play connection that eliminates field termination and simplifies installation in data centre racks and network closets. The AOC design integrates transmitter and receiver modules in the cable ends, ensuring protocol‑aware optical signal transfer for 10 Gbit/s class links over the 2 m length. The aqua jacket offers easy visual identification for multimode fibre links while the SFP+ male connectors maintain compatibility with equipment that supports SFP+ AOC modules.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET5402-AOC-2M-BO by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on your networking devices until the module latches. Ensure devices are powered according to manufacturer guidance and that port configurations (speed, duplex, and protocol settings) match the intended 10 Gbit/s operation. The pre‑terminated AOC requires no polishing or splicing; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends at the cable ends to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Verify that your switches, servers or storage devices officially support SFP+ AOC modules and that port firmware is up to date. Maintain minimum bend radius as specified by the manufacturer, route the aqua cable separately from single‑mode runs for easy identification, and test the link after installation to confirm expected data rates and error levels.
