BlueOptics InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 7,5 m MPO OM4

The BlueOptics InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 7.5 m MPO OM4 is a 7.5 metre multi-mode patch cable with OM4 graded fibre and MPO connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission in data centres and enterprise networks, this fibre optic cable supports MPO-MPO connectivity between patch panels, optical modules and high-density transceiver arrays. The cable jacket is low-smoke, zero-halogen (LSZH) and the assembly is tested for insertion loss and return loss to ensure reliable optical performance.

Advantages

This OM4 MPO-MPO cable provides a multi-mode solution optimized for high bandwidth and short- to medium-reach links. MPO connectors and laser-optimized OM4 fibre deliver low attenuation and high return loss characteristics suitable for dense parallel optics. The LSZH sheath reduces halogen emission and smoke in case of fire, and the cable is produced with high-quality components to ensure consistent mating performance and durability.

Suitable for

• Interconnections between MPO-equipped patch panels
• Parallel optics links and InfiniBand or Ethernet transceiver arrays
• High-density cabling in data centres and server rooms
• Short- to medium-range multimode backbone runs

Key specifications

• Length: 7.5 metres
• Fibre type: OM4 multi-mode (laser-optimized)
• Connector type: MPO to MPO (both ends)
• Jacket material: LSZH (low-smoke, zero-halogen)
• Application: MPO-MPO patching for high-density and parallel optics

How to use

Route and secure the BlueOptics MPO cable through cable management pathways to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. Clean MPO connector endfaces before mating using appropriate fibre cleaning tools to prevent contamination and ensure low insertion loss. Align the MPO connectors with the corresponding MPO ports on patch panels or transceivers and push until the connector latches engage. Verify link performance with suitable optical test equipment if required.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radii recommended for multi-mode fibre, avoid kinking, and store or install the cable away from sources of mechanical stress or excessive heat. Use manufacturer-recommended cleaning procedures for MPO ferrules and periodically inspect connections to preserve low attenuation and reliable operation.
