BlueOptics InfiniBand / kuitukaapeli SFP28–SFP28, 25 m, aqua

BlueOptics InfiniBand / fibre optic cable SFP28 to SFP28, 25 m, Aqua colour is a duplex active optical cable designed for 25 Gbps class links. The cable features SFP28 plugs on both ends and a 25 metre length, providing a standardized optical connection for data centre interconnects, switch-to-switch links and server uplinks where low-loss multimode transmission is required. The aqua-coloured jacket identifies the cable for easy routing and management in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

The cable supports SFP28 interfaces and is built to industry MSA-compatible dimensions, providing plug-and-play compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP28 transceivers. As an active optical cable (AOC) it includes optical transmitter and receiver components at each end to maintain reliable 25 Gbit/s signal integrity over multimode fibre across the full 25 m length. The lightweight construction and flexible jacket make installation and routing simple in dense rack layouts.

How to use

Inspect both SFP28 connectors and the cable jacket before installation to ensure there is no visible damage. Align each SFP28 plug with the host device SFP28 port and insert until the connector latches; follow the equipment vendor’s guidance for hot-plugging SFP28 AOCs. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress, keeping bend radii within the manufacturer’s recommendations for multimode fibre. Verify link status on connected devices and, if needed, check interface configuration and diagnostics in the switch or server to confirm a 25 Gbit/s link.

Recommendations

Use the cable within standard ambient temperature and humidity ranges for data centre equipment, avoid repeated flexing near the connectors, and keep connectors protected from dust when not in use. For optimal performance, pair this SFP28 AOC with devices that support 25GBASE-SR or equivalent 25 Gbit/s multimode optical links and follow vendor interoperability notes when connecting to third-party hardware.
