BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-UQ-BO InfiniBand-kuitu-kaapeli 15m uros/uros

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-UQ-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15-metre active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed data transmission in data centers and network environments, this cable implements industry-standard SFP28 form-factor connectivity for 25 Gbps-class links over multi-mode optical paths. It integrates optical transmitter and receiver elements and is intended for direct connection between SFP28 ports on compatible networking equipment.

Advantages

This AOC provides low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity for short-reach links up to 15 metres while avoiding the bulk and signal degradation associated with long copper runs. With SFP28 Male/Male connectivity and active optical transceivers built into each end, the cable supports reliable signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. The design follows common module standards to ensure physical compatibility with SFP28 ports on supported hardware.

Suitable for

• High-speed server-to-switch connections in data centres
• Switch-to-switch uplinks and stacking where SFP28 ports are available
• Storage networking and SAN links requiring 25 Gbps-class short-reach optical connections

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 Male to SFP28 Male
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated transmitter and receiver
• Length: 15 metres
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per link
• Optical medium: multi-mode fibre
• Compatible transceiver form factor: SFP28 (25G class)

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-UQ-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 slot on the devices to be linked. Ensure that both devices support SFP28 modules and 25 Gbps operation. After seating the connectors firmly, verify link status via the equipment's management interface or LEDs. No additional cabling or patch panels are required for direct device-to-device AOC connections; handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid sharp bends to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

Use this cable for short-reach, high-throughput interconnects in controlled environments such as data centres and server rooms. Verify device compatibility and firmware requirements for third-party AOCs when deploying in vendor-specific platforms. Avoid tight bends, excessive tensile stress and exposure to liquids or dust to maintain performance and longevity.
