KuitusFP-lähetin-vastaanotin CBO SFP-1G-MMF-2KM, 1 Gbit/s, monimuoto, 2 km

The Fiber Optic SFP Transceiver CBO SFP-1G-MMF-2KM is a compact optical module designed for 1 Gbps Ethernet links over multimode fiber up to 2 km. It fits standard SFP ports and provides a hot-pluggable solution for adding fiber connectivity to network switches, routers and media converters. The module supports reliable data transmission in LAN and metropolitan network segments and is compatible with common multimode fiber cabling.

Advantages

This SFP transceiver offers plug-and-play installation and hot-swappable operation, allowing network changes without powering down equipment. Its multimode fiber support and 2 km reach make it suitable for short to medium distance fiber links. The standard SFP form factor ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of networking devices that accept SFP modules.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches and routers over multimode fiber within campus or building networks
• Extending links between floors or buildings up to 2 km
• Integrating fiber ports on media converters and SFP-capable devices

Key specifications

• Data rate: 1 Gbps
• Fiber type: multimode fiber (MMF)
• Maximum link distance: up to 2 km
• Form factor: SFP (small form-factor pluggable)
• Interface: duplex optical connector (LC compatible)
• Hot-pluggable: yes

How to use

Insert the transceiver into an available SFP slot on a compatible switch, router or media converter until it clicks into place. Connect multimode fiber patch cables using the appropriate duplex LC connectors and ensure correct transmit/receive orientation. Configure the connected devices for 1 Gbps operation if necessary and verify link status via device LEDs or management interfaces. The module can be inserted or removed while the host device is powered on, following standard electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.

Recommendations

Use high-quality multimode fiber and properly rated LC duplex patch cords to achieve full performance up to 2 km. Observe ESD handling guidelines when installing the module and avoid exposing the optical interface to dust; use dust caps when the transceiver is not connected. Confirm compatibility with the host device's SFP slot and firmware requirements before deployment.
