BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC15M-BO InfiniBand-kuitukaapeli 15 m SFP28 liitin/liitin

The BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 15 m Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP28 male-to-male connectors, engineered for high-speed interconnects in data centers and networking environments. The cable integrates optical transmitter and receiver modules on each end and uses multimode fibre to support 25G data rates. It follows SFP28 form-factor and MSA-compliant electrical and mechanical specifications to ensure compatibility with equipment that accepts SFP28 AOC modules.

Advantages

This AOC provides low-latency, high-bandwidth links over a 15 m reach while eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patch cabling. Integration of the transceiver elements in the cable reduces signal loss and simplifies installation. The multi-mode optical design supports 25G Ethernet and related protocols and is broadly compatible with major networking platforms that accept SFP28 AOC modules.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in racks and adjacent racks
• High-speed InfiniBand or 25G Ethernet uplinks and aggregation links
• Storage networking and fibre channel over ethernet links requiring 25G bandwidth
• Data centre interconnects where SFP28 form-factor and 15 m reach are required

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP28 (male-to-male AOC)
• Length: 15 meters
• Signal type: Active Optical Cable with integrated transmitter and receiver
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s
• Fibre type: multimode optical fibre
• Standards compliance: SFP28 electrical/mechanical MSA and 25GBASE-SR4 compatible signaling

How to use

Insert the SFP28 connector ends into compatible SFP28 ports on network devices, ensuring proper orientation and a secure latch. No separate transceivers or fibre patch cords are required. After insertion, verify link status on connected devices and confirm negotiated speed and protocol in the device interface. For equipment with vendor lock checks, ensure the host accepts third-party AOC modules or enable vendor-compatibility settings where applicable.

Recommendations

Install the cable in rack areas with minimal bending; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and avoid sharp kinks. Use strain relief and route the cable to prevent excessive stress on the connector housings. For optimal performance, deploy the AOC within the stated 15 m reach and in environments free from mechanical damage and excessive heat.
