BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC7M-BO InfiniBand-kuituoptinen kaapeli 7 m aqua

The BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC7M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 7 m Aqua is an active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed to provide 25G data links over a 7 metre multi‑mode fibre assembly. Manufactured to SFP28/MSA mechanical and electrical standards, this Aqua-coloured AOC is intended for high-speed interconnects in data centres and enterprise networking environments where reliable short‑reach connectivity is required.

Advantages

This 7 m active optical cable integrates transmitters and receivers within the SFP28 modules to deliver consistent 25G performance without separate transceivers or patch cords. The plug‑and‑play SFP28 form factor ensures direct compatibility with equipment that supports SFP28 AOC modules, while the multi‑mode optical design and Aqua jacket colour aid physical identification in dense cabling environments. The AOC construction reduces electrical interference and heat compared with copper alternatives, enabling stable high‑speed links across short distances.

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 ports of the devices to be connected, ensuring the connectors latch securely. No separate configuration is required beyond standard port setup on network equipment; the cable presents a direct 25G link once both ports are enabled. Handle the cable by the connector bodies when inserting or removing and avoid excessive bending of the cable assembly to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics SFP28-25G-AOC7M-BO for short‑reach interconnects inside racks or across adjacent racks. Verify that connected hardware officially supports SFP28 AOC modules and that firmware or driver requirements are met. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid tight routing near sources of mechanical stress to preserve long‑term signal integrity.
