SFP28-AOC-1M passiivinen AOC-kaapeli 1 m — CBO SFP28-AOC-1M-PS-BO

BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-1M Passive AOC Cable 1 m is a 1-metre active optical cable designed for SFP28 interfaces. It provides a direct optical link between compatible network devices, enabling 25 Gbps class data transfer with low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The cable is intended for short-reach interconnects in data centers, server racks and enterprise network equipment where compact, reliable optical connections are required.

Advantages

This SFP28-AOC-1M cable offers the combination of optical transmission benefits and the simplicity of a pluggable interface. It reduces signal loss and crosstalk compared with copper alternatives and eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords. The passive design minimizes power consumption and simplifies installation, while the standardized SFP28 connectors support seamless integration with compatible network ports.

Suitable for

• Short-reach server-to-switch connections within racks
• Switch-to-switch links in top-of-rack and leaf-spine architectures
• Interconnects between storage arrays and host adapters
• High-density patching where space and cable management are important

Key specifications

• Interface: SFP28 pluggable connector
• Length: 1 metre
• Data rate class: 25 Gbps (SFP28)
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC), passive electrical design with optical fiber transmission
• Latency: low propagation delay suitable for short-reach links
• EMI susceptibility: negligible due to optical transmission
• Form factor: compact, hot-pluggable SFP28 modules at both ends

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until it clicks into place. Ensure both ends are seated properly and check link/activity LEDs on the devices to confirm an active connection. Use compatible SFP28 ports on switches, servers or storage controllers and verify device firmware or OS settings if link negotiation is required. For removal, press the release bail or tab and pull straight out to avoid damaging the connector.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connectors and avoid bending the fiber section beyond manufacturer-specified bend radii. Keep dust caps on unused ports, operate within recommended ambient conditions, and verify compatibility with device vendor SFP28 port support lists where necessary.
