SFP28 Direct Attach -kaapeli CBO TAPCABLE28-2M-BL 2 m, 25 Gbit/s, SFP28 uros-uros

The SFP28 Direct Attach Cable CBO TAPCABLE28-2M-BL is a 2‑metre twinax copper assembly engineered for short-reach 25 Gbit/s connections. It features SFP28 male connectors on both ends and is intended for direct attach links between SFP28 ports in switches, servers and network interface cards. The cable provides a fixed, low-latency physical connection suited to top-of-rack and server-to-switch environments where cost-effective, high-speed interconnects are required.

Advantages

This direct attach cable offers 25 Gbit/s performance with low latency and low power consumption compared with active optical solutions for similar distances. The integrated SFP28 connectors eliminate the need for separate transceivers, simplifying installation and reducing hardware count. The 2 m length balances reach and cable management for rack deployments, and the copper construction delivers stable electrical characteristics for short-range links.

Suitable for

• Top-of-rack switch to server uplinks
• Inter-switch connections within the same rack or adjacent racks
• High-performance server NIC to switch links
• Short-reach connections in data center and lab environments

Key specifications

• Data rate: 25 Gbit/s
• Length: 2 m
• Connector type: SFP28 male-to-male
• Medium: Direct attach copper (twinax)
• Typical use: Short-reach electrical interconnect

How to use

Insert each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port until the latch clicks, ensuring the cable is not twisted or under tension. Verify link LEDs on both devices to confirm an established connection and check network configuration on the switch or server as required. For predictable performance, use the cable for direct connections between adjacent or nearby rack-mounted devices and avoid running it alongside high-power cabling that could introduce interference.

Recommendations

For optimal reliability, route the cable with gentle bends and secure it with cable ties or Velcro straps to prevent strain on the connectors. Use this 2 m SFP28 direct attach cable for intra-rack or adjacent-rack links where economical, low-latency 25 Gbit/s connectivity is needed. Confirm compatibility with vendor switch and server port specifications before deployment.
