BlueOptics SFP3333EU2MK InfiniBand kuitukaapeli 2 m ST sininen

The BlueOptics SFP3333EU2MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable 2 m ST Blue is a duplex multimode fibre cable designed for high-speed data connections in network and storage environments. Constructed with OM3 multimode fibre and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports full duplex transmission and is suitable for InfiniBand links where ST connector interface is required. The 2 metre length and blue jacket make it practical for short-distance interconnects in server rooms, switches and patch panels.

Advantages

The OM3 multimode fibre provides low attenuation and modal dispersion for reliable short-range high-bandwidth transmission. ST connectors offer a bayonet-style coupling for quick insertion and secure mechanical connection. The duplex configuration supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels, which is essential for InfiniBand communication. The 2 m length balances reach and cable management in rack and cabinet installations.

How to use

Before installation, verify that both ends of the connection support ST-style connectors and multimode OM3 fibre. Route the cable through cable management paths in the rack or cabinet avoiding tight bends; maintain the recommended minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to prevent signal loss. Align the ST connector’s bayonet coupling with the equipment receptacle, insert and twist to lock. Ensure both transmit and receive channels are connected to the correct ports. Test the link with appropriate network diagnostics to confirm signal integrity and expected throughput.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid exceeding the recommended bending radius and protect connector end-faces from dust and contamination. Use dust caps when connectors are not mated and clean connector end-faces with approved fibre cleaning tools before connection. For critical installations, perform insertion loss and continuity testing after installation.
