BlueOptics SFP8181EU1MK InfiniBand kuituoptinen kaapeli 1 m LC aqua OM3

The BlueOptics SFP8181EU1MK InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 1 m patch cable with LC connectors and OM3 multimode fibre. Designed for short- to medium-range high-speed links in data centers and networking racks, this cable supports InfiniBand connections where low insertion loss and reliable multimode performance are required. The cable uses a 125 µm core diameter multimode fibre and an aqua-coloured jacket that identifies it as OM3 standard.

Advantages

This 1 m OM3 cable offers predictable multimode performance for 10 Gb/s and higher short-range links and is compatible with LC duplex ports used in InfiniBand and Ethernet hardware. The pre-terminated LC connectors provide straightforward installation and consistent optical alignment. The aqua OM3 jacket helps with quick visual identification in dense cabling environments, and the compact LC form factor minimizes port spacing issues in high-density patch panels.

How to use

Route the BlueOptics OM3 cable between LC duplex ports of compatible InfiniBand or Ethernet transceivers, ensuring connectors are clean and free from dust before insertion. Align the LC duplex plug with the device port and insert until the latch clicks. Avoid sharp bends and maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius while installing in racks or patch panels. When removing, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out to prevent damage.

Recommendations

For reliable optical performance, inspect and clean LC connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before connecting. Maintain gentle cable management to avoid tight bends and reduce stress on connectors. Use matching OM3-compliant transceivers and adhere to data center cabling best practices for optimal InfiniBand link performance.
