c.k tools kärkipora 25 mm × 160 mm, kuusiokantavarsi T2943-25

The c.k tools Schlangenbohrer 25 mm × 160 mm with hex shank is a spiral auger drill bit engineered for fast chip evacuation in wood and similar materials. With a 25 mm cutting diameter and a 160 mm overall length, this bit is intended for use in handheld drills and drill drivers where reliable cutting and quick removal of wood shavings are needed. The hex shank ensures secure engagement in chucks and quick-change holders, reducing slippage during high-torque operations. The flute geometry and point design promote efficient penetration and continuous clearing of chips to maintain cutting speed.

Advantages

The spiral auger design provides efficient chip removal, reducing clogging and heat buildup during prolonged drilling. The 25 mm cutting diameter delivers consistent hole sizing for through-holes and rough boring, while the 160 mm overall length allows deeper drilling when required. The hex shank improves grip in chucks and bit holders, minimizing wobble and enabling quick changes. Constructed to withstand typical woodworking loads, the bit balances cutting performance with durability for repetitive tasks.

How to use

Install the hex shank firmly into the drill chuck or a compatible quick-change holder, ensuring there is no play before starting. Position the point at the marked drilling location and start the drill at low speed to establish the entry. Increase speed as the bit cuts, applying steady axial pressure without forcing the tool. Allow the auger flutes to clear chips naturally; if chip accumulation occurs, retract the bit periodically to remove debris and reduce heat. For finished holes, use appropriate finishing techniques after drilling.

Recommendations

Use cutting lubricant or reduced speed only when working with resinous or treated timbers to prevent pitch build-up. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection when operating handheld drills. Avoid excessive lateral force to prevent bit breakage and maintain straight, clean holes. Regularly inspect the bit for wear and replace it when the cutting edge becomes dull to preserve drilling efficiency.
