The Canon RM1-6454-000 separation pad is a replacement paper-separation component designed for Laser/LED printers. It helps ensure reliable pickup and single-sheet feeding by providing consistent friction against paper stacks, reducing the risk of multi-feeds, misfeeds and paper jams. This grey and white pad is supplied as a single unit for straightforward installation and routine maintenance of compatible Canon devices such as model 1133IF.

Advantages

The separation pad restores consistent paper handling performance and reduces service interruptions caused by feeding errors. Its construction provides stable friction characteristics to work across common office paper weights and finishes. Sold as a single unit, it is convenient to replace during scheduled maintenance and helps extend the effective life of the printer's paper feed mechanism.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Replacing a worn separation pad in compatible Canon Laser/LED printers

• Routine maintenance to preserve reliable single-sheet feeding
• Office and small business print environments using Canon model 1133IF and similar devices

Key specifications

• Function: paper separation / single-sheet feed support
• Compatibility: designed for specific Canon Laser/LED printers (check device compatibility before purchase)
• Color: grey and white
• Supply: single replacement unit
• Typical application: feed tray / pickup assembly component

How to use

Power off the printer and consult the device service or user manual for safe access to the paper feed or pickup assembly. Remove the old separation pad according to the manufacturer's instructions, taking care not to damage adjacent components. Install the replacement pad in the correct orientation so that it contacts the paper stack as specified by the printer guide. After reassembly, run a short test print or paper feed test to confirm consistent single-sheet pickup and correct alignment.

Recommendations

Use only compatible replacement parts and follow the printer manufacturer's maintenance intervals. Replace the separation pad if you observe repeated misfeeds, multiple-sheet pulls, or increased paper jams. Store spare pads in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid bending or contaminating the contact surface to maintain reliable feeding performance.
