Capture CA-ANT-RC12 ulkoinen UHF-antenni 12 dBi - Capture

The Capture External UHF Antenna CA-ANT-RC12 provides directional UHF signal gain of 12 dBi to improve reception and transmission for compatible UHF receivers, radios and RFID/telemetry systems. Designed for installations that need extended range and reduced signal loss, this antenna is suitable for office environments, warehouses and outdoor setups where a focused UHF beam helps achieve more reliable coverage. The antenna connects to devices that accept external antennas and is intended to be mounted to optimize line-of-sight with transmitting sources.

Advantages

The antenna’s 12 dBi directional gain concentrates UHF signals to increase effective range and reduce interference from unwanted directions. Its focused radiation pattern helps improve link stability for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configurations. The device is compatible with standard external-antenna enabled receivers and radio equipment, allowing flexible placement for improved signal performance. The physical design supports mounting in both indoor and sheltered outdoor locations to enhance coverage where internal antennas are insufficient.

Suitable for

• Extending range of UHF receivers and radios in offices and warehouses
• Improving RFID or telemetry system read range and reliability
• Point-to-point UHF links requiring directional coverage
• Outdoor or rooftop installations requiring focused UHF reception

Key specifications

• Frequency band: UHF range suitable for common UHF devices
• Gain: 12 dBi directional gain for extended range
• Polarization: linear polarization optimized for UHF links
• Radiation pattern: directional / focused beam to reduce off-axis signals
• Mounting: suitable for wall, mast or fixed mounting in indoor and sheltered outdoor locations
• Connector type: compatible with standard external antenna connections (verify device connector match before installation)

How to use

Choose a mounting location that provides clear line-of-sight toward the desired transmitter or coverage area. Secure the antenna to a wall, mast or bracket using appropriate hardware, ensuring the connector and cable route are weather-protected if installed outdoors. Connect the antenna cable to the external antenna port of your receiver, radio or reader, taking care to match the connector type and tighten as required. Orient the antenna to point toward the signal source and perform a sweep or signal test while making small adjustments to obtain optimal reception and transmission performance.

Recommendations

For best results, position the antenna as high as practical and avoid large obstacles between the antenna and the signal source. Use quality coaxial cable with appropriate impedance and minimize cable length to reduce loss. Confirm connector compatibility and, for outdoor installations, use weatherproof seals at cable junctions. If interference or multipath issues occur, adjust orientation or try slight repositioning to find the best signal quality.
