CBO AOC BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G aktiivinen optinen kaapeli, 7 m

The CBO AOC BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G Active Optical Cable, 7 m is a factory-terminated active optical link that delivers 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over a 7-metre length. Designed for short-reach, high-bandwidth connections, this AOC integrates optical transceivers and a duplex fiber assembly into a single, lightweight cable. It is intended for inter-rack, intra-rack and top-of-rack links in data centers and enterprise networks where stable 10G performance with low latency is required.

Advantages

This active optical cable offers plug-and-play installation without separate transceivers, reducing component count and simplifying deployment. The integrated design reduces cable bulk and weight compared with traditional copper or fiber with separate SFP modules, improving airflow and rack management. The 7 m length provides flexibility for common rack-to-rack and switch-to-server runs while preserving signal integrity for 10G traffic.

Suitable for

• Short-range 10G links between switches and aggregation devices
• Server-to-switch connections within the same rack or adjacent racks
• Top-of-rack (ToR) and end-of-row (EoR) data center cabling
• Environments requiring reduced cable bulk and improved airflow

Key specifications

• Data rate: 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Cable type: Active optical cable with integrated transceivers
• Length: 7 metres
• Connector type: Duplex optical interfaces compatible with 10G SFP+ form factor
• Latency: Optimized for low-latency short-reach links
• Application: Short-range data center and enterprise network interconnects

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each end into the corresponding SFP+ ports on network switches, servers or host adapters. The cable is recognized as a single, pre-terminated link; no separate transceiver module installation is required. Ensure ports are compatible with 10G SFP+ optical interfaces and follow equipment vendor guidelines for hot-plugging. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; secure it with cable management accessories as needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, maintain bend radii above the manufacturer’s minimum specification and avoid compressing the cable in cable trays. Verify compatibility with your switches and servers' SFP+ ports and firmware before deployment. Use this 7 m AOC for short-reach connections inside racks or between adjacent racks to benefit from reduced weight and improved airflow compared with copper solutions.
