CBO AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G 7m aktiivinen optinen kaapeli

The CBO AOC SFP+ BlueOptics BO353503J7M 10G 7m active optical cable is a factory-terminated, plug-and-play SFP+ direct attach solution for short-range 10 Gbps links. This AOC integrates optical transceivers and a fixed 7-meter OM3/OM4-equivalent optical channel into a single assembly, enabling high-speed connectivity between switches, servers and storage devices equipped with SFP+ ports. The cable provides electrical isolation and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper DACs while maintaining low latency and minimal power consumption.

Advantages

The BlueOptics 10G AOC eliminates the need for separate transceivers and fiber patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing points of failure. Its fixed length and factory-polished terminations ensure consistent optical performance and predictable link characteristics. The integrated design lowers system complexity, delivers low-latency signal transmission, and offers improved signal integrity over longer short-reach spans compared with copper alternatives.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between network switches
• Server-to-switch links in data center racks
• Interconnects for storage arrays and SAN equipment
• High-throughput aggregation and top-of-rack deployments

Key specifications

• Form factor: SFP+ (active optical cable)
• Nominal link speed: 10 Gbps
• Fixed length: 7 meters
• Media type: active optical (single assembly with integrated transceivers)
• Latency: low, suitable for latency-sensitive applications
• Electrical isolation: optical transmission provides galvanic isolation
• Compatibility: designed for devices with SFP+ ports supporting 10G

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port on the devices to be connected until the module latches. Ensure devices are powered and that port settings match for a 10 Gbps link. No separate fiber patch cords or transceivers are required. Verify link status through switch or server management interfaces and confirm negotiated speed and duplex. For initial deployment, check vendor compatibility lists if available and update device firmware or drivers as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and avoid tight zip-tie bundling. Keep SFP+ connector dust caps in place until insertion to prevent contamination. For best results in data center environments, label both ends for easy identification and verify optical link parameters during commissioning and periodic maintenance.
