CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M aktiivinen optinen kaapeli 3 m

The CBO AOC SFP28 BlueOptics BO272703Q3M active optical cable 3 m is a direct-attach fiber-optic link designed for SFP28 ports. With a 3 meter length, this active optical cable (AOC) provides a single, pre-terminated solution for short-reach interconnects between switches, servers and other compatible network devices. The AOC carries high-speed serial data over optical fiber while reducing electromagnetic interference and the need for transceivers at each end, making it suitable for dense rack and data centre environments.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC delivers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity optimized for SFP28 interfaces. As an active optical cable it integrates the optical transceivers and fiber into a single assembly, simplifying installation and cable management. The optical medium reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and can offer lower power consumption compared with equivalent copper connections. A fixed 3 m length provides a predictable installation footprint for short-reach top-of-rack and intra-rack cabling.

Suitable for

• Short-reach connections between SFP28-capable switches and servers
• Top-of-rack and intra-rack cabling in data centres
• High-density switch-to-switch links where space and cable management matter

Key specifications

• Interface type: SFP28 form factor, direct-attach active optical cable
• Length: 3 m
• Cable type: active optical (integrated optical transceivers and fiber)
• Use case: short-reach data centre and rack interconnects
• Electrical characteristics: optical transmission reduces EMI compared with copper links

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure that both devices support SFP28 AOC modules and that firmware or driver compatibility is met where required. Route the 3 m cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by the cable manufacturer and secure the cable to prevent excessive movement in racks or trays. No separate transceivers or patch cords are required.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify device compatibility with SFP28 AOC assemblies and keep cable runs within the 3 m length for intended short-reach links. Avoid tight bends and exposure to sources of mechanical damage; follow standard data centre cable management practices to preserve signal integrity and serviceability.
