CBO-kaapeli SFF-8644–SFF-8644 0,5 m uros–uros BlueOptics (00YL847-BL)

Direct-attach CBO BlueOptics cable with SFF-8644 (QSFP+) connectors on both ends, 0.5 m length, male-to-male configuration. This short, high-density copper interconnect is designed for short-range, high-speed links in data centre environments and rack-mounted systems. The cable provides a low-latency physical connection between network switches, servers or storage devices equipped with SFF-8644 ports, enabling aggregated 40GbE or other QSFP+ compatible interfaces where supported by host hardware.

Advantages

The cable offers a compact form factor and a robust connector design that simplifies installation in dense rack environments while minimising signal loss and latency over short distances. Its fixed length and male-to-male QSFP+ terminations eliminate the need for transceivers, reducing component count and power consumption compared with optical transceiver-based links. The cable’s construction supports stable electrical performance and reliable throughput for aggregated high-bandwidth connections.

Suitable for

• Short-range 40GbE or QSFP+ interconnects between switches and top-of-rack equipment
• Direct server-to-switch or server-to-storage connections inside racks
• High-density data centre patching where space and airflow are constrained
• Temporary or permanent links for testing, lab setups, or production environments

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFF-8644 (QSFP+) male to SFF-8644 (QSFP+) male
• Length: 0.5 m
• Cable type: direct-attach copper assembly (DAC)
• Supported interface: QSFP+ electrical interface (suitable for 40GbE where supported)
• Colour: blue
• Application environment: short-range, rack- and chassis-mounted equipment

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible SFF-8644 ports and support the intended aggregated link speed. Power down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer, align the SFF-8644 connectors with the device ports and insert the cable until the latch engages. Verify link status in the host operating system or network equipment management interface and monitor for errors. For removal, release the connector latch and withdraw the cable straight out to avoid damaging the connector or port.

Recommendations

Use this direct-attach cable for short, high-bandwidth connections inside racks and enclosures. Avoid routing the cable across sharp edges, high-heat sources or long, unsupported spans. Confirm compatibility with the host hardware’s QSFP+ electrical requirements and, where possible, test in a lab environment before deploying into production.
