Cimco ruuvi 190029 — ruuvi/pultti kuitulevyille, sinkitty metalli, 40 mm pituus, 4 mm kierrehalkaisija, 1 kpl

The cimco 190029 screw is a single 40 mm fastener manufactured from galvanized metal and designed for secure connections in fibreboard and similar engineered wood panels. With a 4 mm thread diameter and a length suited for panel joining and fitting assembly, this screw provides a corrosion-resistant option for furniture construction and repair. The product is supplied as one piece per pack, intended for straightforward use in situations where an individual or replacement fastener is required.

Advantages

Galvanized metal construction offers enhanced resistance to rust and corrosion compared with plain steel, extending the service life of the fastened joint in indoor environments. The 4 mm thread diameter balances strength and ease of driving into fibreboard without excessive splitting. The 40 mm length is appropriate for joining thin panels and attaching fittings while leaving minimal protrusion. Supplied as a single unit, the screw is convenient when a specific replacement or test fitting is needed.

Key specifications

How to use

Select an appropriate pilot hole size for the 4 mm screw if working with dense or brittle fibreboard to reduce splitting; for many standard fibreboards a small pilot hole or direct driving is acceptable depending on material density. Position the panels or fitting and align the screw with the intended fastening point, then use a compatible screwdriver or drill with the correct bit to drive the screw until the head is flush with or slightly countersunk into the surface. Avoid over-tightening to prevent crushing the fibreboard around the thread.

Recommendations

For best results, store screws in a dry environment to maintain the galvanized finish. When fastening in exterior-exposed or high-humidity locations, consider using stainless or specially coated fasteners designed for outdoor use. Pre-drilling a pilot hole is recommended for very dense or thin panels to avoid splitting and to ensure a secure joint.
