Digi International AnywhereUSB 2 Plus USB-over-IP-keskitin (AW02-G300+PSU) - 2x USB 3.1, Gigabit-LAN

Connecting USB devices to remote servers or virtual machines over a network can be a challenge, especially in industrial or enterprise environments where physical proximity isn't possible. The Digi International AnywhereUSB 2 Plus USB-over-IP Hub solves this by allowing you to connect USB devices to a network and access them remotely as if they were locally attached.

Who is it for

This hub is ideal for IT administrators, system integrators, and industrial users who need to connect USB devices such as dongles, sensors, or peripherals to servers, virtual machines, or cloud environments without being physically present. It's particularly useful in virtualized environments like VMware, where USB passthrough can be problematic.

Main features

• Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports for connecting a wide range of USB devices, with backward compatibility to USB 2.0 and 1.1.
• Gigabit Ethernet port for high-speed network connectivity, supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps.
• USB-over-IP technology allows remote access to USB devices over a local network or the internet.
• Broad operating system support including Windows, Windows Server, macOS, Linux, and VMware.
• Robust security features including Digi TrustFence, TLS/SSL, SSH, SNMPv3, HTTPS, and IP filtering.
• Flexible power input from 9-30V DC with an external power supply included.
• Durable metal enclosure suitable for industrial environments.
• Management via web interface, command line, or Digi Remote Manager for remote configuration and monitoring.

Tips

For optimal performance, ensure your network infrastructure supports Gigabit Ethernet and consider using a dedicated VLAN for USB-over-IP traffic to minimize latency. When connecting high-power USB devices, verify that the total power draw does not exceed 2A across both ports.
