DIGITUS HDMI-jatkosarja - 4K/30Hz 70m PoC IR

The HDMI Extender Set extends Full HD AV signals up to 70 m and supports 4K/30Hz up to 40 m when used with a CAT6 or higher network cable. The kit includes a transmitter with an HDMI loop-out for connecting a local monitor and a receiver for the distant display. Power over Cable (PoC) means only the transmitter requires an external power adapter. The set is compatible with HDMI 1.4, HDCP 1.4 and DVI 1.0 and provides a video bandwidth of 10.2 Gbps.

Advantages

This HDMI extender set allows transmission of AV signals over long distances without visible loss in Full HD and supports higher-resolution 4K/30Hz at shorter distances. PoC simplifies installation by reducing the number of required power adapters. The HDMI loop-out on the transmitter enables connection of a local monitor while the receiver drives the remote display. IR pass-through lets you control the source device from the remote screen. EDID copy selection ensures correct handshake and optimal picture settings between source and displays.

Key specifications

• Maximum Full HD extension distance: up to 70 m (over CAT5e/6/6A/7/8)
• Maximum 4K resolution support: 4K @ 30 Hz, 4:4:4 up to 40 m (CAT6 or higher)
• Supported cable types: CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, CAT7, CAT8
• Power: PoC (Power over Cable) — only transmitter needs external power
• HDMI loop-out: available on transmitter for local monitor
• EDID copy: selectable from receiver or HDMI loop-out
• Compatibility: HDMI 1.4, HDCP 1.4, DVI 1.0
• IR interface: remote control of input source from receiver
• Video bandwidth: 10.2 Gbps

How to use

Connect the transmitter to the source device via HDMI and, if required, to a local monitor using the HDMI loop-out. Link transmitter and receiver with a CAT5e or higher network cable, using CAT6 or above for 4K@30Hz up to 40 m. Supply power to the transmitter via the external adapter; the receiver will be powered through the cable via PoC. At the receiver end connect the remote display with HDMI. Use the IR interface to operate the source from the receiver and set the EDID copy switch to choose the desired EDID source for optimal compatibility.

Recommendations

For stable 4K@30Hz transmission use CAT6 or higher cable and keep cable runs within 40 m. For reliable Full HD extension up to 70 m use high-quality shielded CAT5e/CAT6 cables and avoid running the cable near strong electromagnetic interference sources.
