DRAKA yleiskaapeli kuitu U-DQ(ZN)BH 12G50/125 I/O CT D DA LSHF 3.0kN 12bl OM3 60011342

Network installations that span both indoor and outdoor environments often face a dilemma: standard indoor cables lack the ruggedness for outdoor exposure, while outdoor cables are too stiff and bulky for indoor routing. The DRAKA Universal Fibre Optic Cable U-DQ(ZN)BH 12G50/125 I/O CT D DA LSHF 3.0kN 12bl OM3 solves this by combining a robust, dry-core design with a low-smoke, halogen-free sheath, making it equally at home in riser shafts, cable trays, or direct burial conduits.

Who is it for

This cable is ideal for enterprise network engineers, data centre managers, and system integrators who need a single cable type that can transition seamlessly from outdoor ducts to indoor distribution frames. It is particularly suited for backbone links where high bandwidth and fire safety are critical, such as in office buildings, campuses, and industrial facilities.

Main features

• 12 multimode OM3 fibres (50/125 µm) support 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 300 metres at 850 nm.
• Universal indoor/outdoor construction with central loose tube and dry water-blocking core—no messy gels.
• LSHF (Low Smoke Halogen Free) outer sheath meets IEC 60332-1-2 flame retardancy, IEC 60754-2 halogen-free, and IEC 61034-2 low smoke requirements.
• Double aramid yarn strength members provide a maximum tensile load of 3.0 kN, allowing longer pulls without damage.
• Compact 7.0 mm outer diameter with a minimum static bend radius of 70 mm and dynamic bend radius of 140 mm.
• Operating and storage temperature range from -20°C to +70°C, suitable for harsh environments.
• Complies with DIN VDE 0888 cable standard U-DQ(ZN)BH, ensuring reliable performance.

Tips

When pulling this cable, use a swivel pulling grip to prevent twisting and respect the dynamic bend radius of 140 mm. For outdoor runs, always install inside a conduit or duct to protect the sheath from UV degradation and physical damage. After installation, test the link with an OTDR at both 850 nm and 1300 nm to verify splice and connector losses.
