The Fiskars Norden 1072090 is a fixed-blade outdoor knife with a stainless steel blade designed for general-purpose outdoor tasks. Compact and robust, the knife is intended for camping, hiking and light bushcraft where dependable cutting, carving and food-preparation performance are required. The full-tang construction and ergonomic handle provide control for precision work while remaining suited to everyday carry in outdoor activities and basic survival situations.

Advantages

The stainless steel blade resists corrosion and maintains a sharp edge for routine field tasks. The fixed-blade design offers greater strength and structural reliability compared with folding knives, making it suitable for repetitive cutting and light batoning. Its compact size balances portability with usable blade length, and the handle geometry promotes secure grip and reduced hand fatigue during extended use. The sheath and attachment options enable convenient carry and quick access.

• Camping food preparation and campsite chores
• Hiking and trail-side cutting tasks
• Light bushcraft and carving
• Emergency and basic survival tasks

Key specifications

• Blade material: stainless steel for corrosion resistance
• Blade type: fixed blade for increased strength
• Handle: ergonomic design for secure grip and control
• Overall size: compact form factor suitable for everyday carry in outdoor use
• Primary uses: cutting, carving, food preparation and light utility tasks

How to use

Hold the knife by the handle with a firm, controlled grip and perform cutting motions away from your body. Use the tip for precision tasks and the belly of the blade for slicing. For chopping or splitting small pieces of wood, apply steady, controlled force and avoid excessive twisting that could stress the blade. Use the sheath for safe storage and transport; always sheath the knife when not in use and keep the blade clean and dry after food preparation or exposure to moisture.

Recommendations

Keep the blade sharpened with a suitable sharpening stone or rod to maintain cutting performance. Regularly clean and dry the blade after use, and apply a light oil if stored for long periods to prevent surface corrosion. Use appropriate cutting techniques and protective gear when performing heavier tasks to extend the service life of the knife and ensure user safety.
