Server downtime costs money—and a failed power supply is one of the most common culprits. The Gigabyte 650W 80 PLUS Platinum Redundant Power Supply Module eliminates that single point of failure by providing hot-swappable, N+1/N+N redundancy for mission-critical PC and server systems. When one module fails or is removed for maintenance, the other instantly takes over, keeping your infrastructure online without interruption.

Who is it for

This PSU is built for IT administrators, data center operators, and businesses running 24/7 server environments where uptime is non-negotiable. It fits standard redundant server chassis and is ideal for virtualization hosts, storage servers, and high-availability clusters.

Main features

• 650W continuous output with 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency (up to 94% at typical loads) reduces energy waste and cooling costs.
• True redundant operation: supports N+1 and N+N configurations with hot-swap capability.
• Active PFC with >0.95 power factor ensures clean power delivery and compliance with modern energy standards.
• Comprehensive protection suite: OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OCP, and OTP safeguard your hardware from electrical anomalies.
• Proprietary backplane connector for secure, tool-less installation in compatible chassis.
• High-reliability design with MTBF >100,000 hours and internal cooling fan for optimal thermal performance.

Tips

Always verify that your server chassis supports redundant PSU modules with the same backplane connector before purchase. For maximum uptime, pair this module with an identical unit and connect both to separate power sources (e.g., different UPS circuits) to protect against power path failures.
