Alcasa LW-U830LC5 InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli 30 m LC vihreä lime

The Alcasa LW-U830LC5 InfiniBand/fibre optic cable 30 m LC Green Lime is a multimode OM5 fibre patch cable designed for high-speed, full-duplex data transmission in server rooms, data centres and enterprise networks. The cable has LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter that supports wideband multimode transmission characteristics, making it suitable for modern parallel optics and short-reach high-bandwidth links.

Advantages

This 30 m fibre cable combines OM5 multimode performance with LC duplex terminations to enable reliable, low-loss connections between InfiniBand equipment, switches and transceivers. The lime-green jacket improves visual identification in congested cabling environments. The OM5 core supports broader wavelength ranges for wavelength-division and parallel-optics systems, reducing insertion loss and helping maintain signal integrity over short to medium distances.

Suitable for

• InfiniBand links in high-performance computing clusters
• Short-reach multimode connections in data centres and server racks
• Interconnects between switches, transceivers and SAN equipment
• Parallel optics and wavelength-division applications requiring OM5

Key specifications

• Length: 30 m
• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Jacket colour: lime/green
• Transmission mode: full duplex

How to use

Inspect both LC connectors and ensure dust caps are removed before insertion. Route the cable along rack cable managers or trays to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified by multimode fibre guidelines. Insert the LC connectors into the corresponding ports until the latch clicks; for duplex links, ensure correct orientation so transmit and receive channels align. When disconnecting, press the LC latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the fibre.

Recommendations

Use this OM5 LC duplex cable for short- to medium-range multimode connections where lime-coloured identification simplifies maintenance. Avoid tight bends, excessive pulling force, and exposure to fluids or sharp edges. Clean connectors before mating and use appropriate dust caps when not in use to preserve performance.
