GoodConnections Cat.7 S/FTP verkkokaapeli RNS® Latch Protection, 40 m, violetti 8070R-400V

Network administrators and IT professionals often face the challenge of installing reliable, high-speed connections in data centers and office environments where space is tight and cables are frequently moved. This 40-meter violet patch cable from GoodConnections is built for exactly those demanding conditions. It combines Cat.7 performance with robust shielding and a unique latch protection system, ensuring stable 10 Gigabit Ethernet links even in dense patch panels.

Key specifications

• Cable length: 40 m
• Category: Cat.7 (600 MHz)
• Shielding: S/FTP (braided screen + foil per pair, PiMF)
• Conductor: Oxygen-free copper (OFC), stranded
• Connectors: RJ45 male to RJ45 male with RNS® latch protection
• Jacket: Halogen-free (LSZH), violet
• Wiring: TIA/EIA 568B
• Data rate: Up to 10 Gbps (10GBASE-T)

Why choose it

The S/FTP construction with PiMF (pairs in metal foil) virtually eliminates alien crosstalk, making this cable ideal for high-density installations. The RNS® latch protection prevents the locking tab from snagging or breaking when pulling cables through bundles or removing them from tight ports—a common cause of network downtime. The halogen-free jacket emits low smoke and toxic fumes in case of fire, improving safety in enclosed spaces.

Ideal use cases

• Data center server-to-switch connections
• Office workstation cabling in raised floors or conduits
• Professional AV and broadcast installations requiring long, interference-free runs
• Industrial environments where cable robustness and safety are critical

Good to know

This cable is fully backward compatible with Cat.6a, Cat.6, Cat.5e, and Cat.5 networks, so you can upgrade incrementally. The violet color helps with quick identification in complex setups. Each cable is individually tested to meet Cat.7 specifications.
