Kuitukaapeli Alcasa LW-830LS4 30 m LC SC violetti

The Alcasa LW-830LS4 30 m LC SC Purple is an OM4 multimode fibre optic cable designed for high-speed data transmission in demanding network environments. The cable uses a 50 μm core diameter multimode fibre and comes terminated with LC and SC connectors to provide reliable connections between switches, servers and active equipment. The purple jacket identifies the OM4 specification and helps with organised cable management in rack and data centre deployments.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable offers low attenuation and stable modal bandwidth for short to medium range links, supporting high data rates and reducing the need for signal repeaters. The factory-terminated LC and SC connectors deliver consistent insertion loss and return loss performance, while the 30 m length covers typical rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch-panel runs. The purple outer sheath improves visibility and simplifies identification within mixed cable installations.

Suitable for

• Data centre interconnects and switch-to-switch links
• High-performance computing clusters and server farms
• Patch panel to active equipment connections in telecom rooms
• Short to medium distance multimode links within buildings

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 μm
• Length: 30 m
• Connectors: LC to SC
• Jacket colour: purple (OM4 identification)
• Typical use: multimode, indoor cabling

How to use

Route the Alcasa LW-830LS4 cable along cable trays or through cable management panels to maintain bend radius recommendations and avoid tight bends that increase loss. Insert the SC connector into the SC adapter or port and secure it until it clicks, then plug the LC connector into the corresponding LC port. Verify alignment and connector seating before powering network equipment. Perform standard fibre inspection and testing such as visual connector inspection and insertion loss measurement after installation to confirm link performance.

Recommendations

Handle connectors by the boot or housing to avoid contaminating the endfaces; always clean and inspect connectors before mating. Maintain recommended minimum bend radius for OM4 multimode fibre, avoid tensile stress beyond manufacturer limits, and store spare cable coiled without sharp loops. For applications requiring longer runs or single-mode transmission, select an appropriate single-mode cable type.
