Hallitsematon 5-porttinen Gigabit Ethernet -kytkin PLANET IGS-500T-E (10/100/1000), sininen

The PLANET IGS-500T-E is an unmanaged 5‑port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for simple, reliable plug‑and‑play connectivity in small offices, workgroups, industrial edge locations and compact network deployments. It provides five 10/100/1000 RJ‑45 ports with auto‑negotiation and auto‑MDI/MDI‑X, full‑duplex forwarding, a 2,000‑entry MAC address table and a 10 Gbit/s switching capacity in a compact, blue IP40 metal housing. The unit supports wide DC input, triple power input redundancy and is suitable for harsh environments with an extended operating temperature range.

Advantages

The IGS-500T-E delivers wire‑speed performance across five Gigabit Ethernet ports while keeping configuration and management overhead to a minimum thanks to its unmanaged design. Its industrial-rated metal case, DIN‑rail and wall‑mount options enable flexible installation in limited spaces. Energy‑efficient features including IEEE 802.3az support and automatic link‑based power savings reduce power consumption. Redundant wide‑range DC power input and robust ESD/protection features improve availability and reliability in demanding environments.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Small office networks and workgroup connectivity requiring Gigabit throughput.
• Industrial edge installations needing compact, rugged switching.
• Network extension in cabinets, wall enclosures or small automation panels.
• PoE‑free environments where unmanaged, low‑maintenance switching is sufficient.

When it may not be suitable

This unmanaged switch does not provide VLAN, QoS configuration, SNMP or other managed‑switch features, so it is not suitable where advanced traffic segmentation, monitoring or policy control are required. It also lacks PoE ports, so it cannot power devices such as IP cameras or access points directly.

Key specifications

• Ports: 5 × 10/100/1000BASE‑T RJ‑45 with auto‑MDI/MDI‑X and auto‑negotiation.
• Switching capacity: 10 Gbit/s non‑blocking.
• MAC address table: 2,000 entries.
• Duplex: half/full duplex support and IEEE 802.3x flow control for full‑duplex.
• Power input: wide DC range with triple power input redundancy (12–55 V DC) and reverse polarity protection.
• Mechanical: IP40 metal case, compact form factor; supports DIN‑rail and wall mounting.
• Environmental: operating temperature range −40 to 75 °C; designed for reliable operation at up to 3,000 m altitude.
• Protection: Ethernet ESD protection and industrial‑grade shock/vibration tolerance.
• Energy: supports IEEE 802.3az Energy‑Efficient Ethernet and link‑based power saving.
• Weight and color: approx. 0.266 kg; blue housing.

How to use

Install the IGS-500T-E on a DIN rail or secure it to a wall enclosure using the included mounting points. Connect a suitable DC power source within the supported 12–55 V range to the power terminals, making use of redundant supplies where high availability is required. Plug Ethernet cables into the RJ‑45 ports; the switch will auto‑negotiate link speed and duplex. For optimal performance use Category 5e or Category 6 cabling and observe correct grounding and ESD protection practices in industrial environments. No configuration is required for basic operation.

What to consider before purchase

• Does your deployment require managed features (VLANs, QoS, SNMP)? If so, a managed switch is needed.
• Do connected devices require PoE power? This model does not provide PoE.
• Confirm required power input voltage and whether redundant power supplies are available for your installation.
• Ensure environmental tolerances (temperature, vibration, altitude) match your site conditions.
• Check available mounting space to verify DIN‑rail or wall‑mount installation is suitable.

Recommendations

For stable performance, pair the IGS-500T-E with quality Category 5e/6 cables, provide properly rated redundant DC power when uptime is critical, and mount the device in a ventilated enclosure to maintain the specified operating temperature range. Regularly inspect power connections and grounding in industrial installations to prevent interruptions.
