Hama 00200327 kaapelisovitin RJ-45 hopea

The Hama 00200327 Cable Gender Changer is a compact adapter with two RJ-45 connectors that allows you to connect two network cables or convert a cable into a network extension. Tested for Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbit/s), the silver-coloured adapter provides a simple and reliable way to adapt existing Ethernet cables without re-terminating connectors.

Advantages

This gender changer supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds and preserves the existing cable termination, reducing installation time. Its compact, robust design in silver is easy to handle and install in patch panels, behind equipment, or in tight spaces. The adapter is compatible with standard RJ-45 terminated network cables and requires no additional tools to use.

Suitable for

• Joining two Ethernet patch cables
• Extending a network cable where a longer run is needed
• Adapting cable polarity/connector orientation in patch cabinets or at workstations

How to use

Insert one RJ-45 terminated cable into each side of the Hama gender changer until the connectors click into place. Ensure both cables are fully seated to maintain a reliable electrical connection. The adapter works passively and does not require power or configuration; after connection, verify network link lights on the connected devices or switches to confirm connectivity.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short-term or occasional cable joins; for permanent or long cable runs consider re-terminating a single continuous cable or using a keystone/jack in a wall plate to maintain optimal signal integrity over long distances.
