Hiomapaperi Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint 2608607261

The Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint sanding sheet is designed for efficient material removal on painted and wooden surfaces. It combines a semi-friable aluminium oxide abrasive grain with a robust x-cloth backing and a high-quality belt joint to deliver durable performance during extensive sanding tasks. The abrasive features an electrostatic open-coated surface for consistent dust removal and is bonded with fully synthetic resin to resist wear in heavy-duty applications. The sheet is suitable for smoothing feather edges, flush sanding rebates and edges, and general sanding of wooden and coated surfaces; it is compatible with belt sanders.

Advantages

The X440 offers high-performance sanding thanks to its semi-friable aluminium oxide grain and electrostatic open coat that supports effective dust extraction. The x-cloth backing and reinforced belt joint provide strength and durability for prolonged use, while the synthetic resin bond increases wear resistance under heavy loads.

Suitable for

• Sanding old paint and varnish
• Smoothing wooden surfaces and feather edges
• Flush sanding of rebates and edges
• Use with belt sanders for general surface preparation

How to use

Install the sanding sheet on a compatible belt sander according to the machine manufacturer's instructions. Start with an appropriate grit for the task and apply steady, even pressure while moving the sander along the workpiece. Use the electrostatic open-coated surface to facilitate dust extraction—connect to a dust extraction system if available. Replace the sheet when performance decreases or the abrasive is worn.

Recommendations

For best results, choose the correct grit for the material and task, ensure secure attachment to the belt sander, and use dust extraction to maintain visibility and prolong abrasive life. Inspect the sheet regularly and change it when signs of clogging or wear appear.
