Hiomapaperit Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint 10 kpl

The Bosch X440 Best for Wood and Paint sanding sheets are designed for efficient removal of old paint, varnish and material from wooden surfaces. Each pack contains 10 sheets with a semi-friable aluminium oxide abrasive grain and a robust x-cloth backing with a high-quality joint, providing durability for extended work. The abrasive is electrostatically open-coated to improve dust removal and maintain consistent sanding performance. These sanding sheets are intended for smoothing feather edges, flush sanding rebates and edges, and general sanding of wooden and coated surfaces; they are compatible with standard belt sanders and built with synthetic resin bonding for wear resistance in heavy-duty applications.

Advantages

The semi-friable aluminium oxide grain offers high-performance material removal while renewing the cutting surface; the x-cloth backing and reinforced belt joint ensure strength during prolonged use. Electrostatic open-coating promotes consistent dust extraction for continuous sanding, and the fully synthetic resin bond increases wear resistance in demanding tasks. The format and grit design make these sheets suitable for both coarse material removal and finishing on wood and painted surfaces.

How to use

Select the correct grit and attach the sanding sheet to a compatible belt sander or sanding platen according to the sander manufacturer's instructions. Start sanding with light, even passes to remove paint or varnish, then adjust pressure and direction as needed to achieve a uniform surface. Replace the sheet when the abrasive performance declines. Use steady motion and avoid prolonged pressure in one spot to prevent gouging the substrate.

Recommendations

For best results, use appropriate personal protective equipment (dust mask, safety glasses, hearing protection) and pair the X440 sanding sheets with a sander that has dust extraction. Begin with a coarser grit for heavy removal and finish with finer grits for a smooth surface; inspect and change sheets regularly to maintain consistent sanding performance.
