InfiniBand/kuitu-kaapeli BlueOptics 470-ACOQ-BO QSFP AOC 3 m aqua

The BlueOptics 470-ACOQ-BO QSFP AOC 3 m Aqua is a 3-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP connections designed for high-speed InfiniBand and fibre optic networks. It supports 40GBASE-SR4 class transmission and provides simultaneous transmit and receive channels via optical laser technology. The aqua-coloured jacket aids visual identification in dense cabling environments. The cable is manufactured to MSA-compliant specifications and is compatible with common hardware platforms that accept QSFP AOC connections.

Advantages

The AOC design delivers low latency and immunity to electromagnetic interference, enabling stable, high-bandwidth links between switches, routers and storage systems. Built with components from established optical manufacturers and MSA-compliant mechanical and electrical specifications, the cable offers long service life and reduced maintenance. Integrated digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) provide real-time monitoring of supply voltage, laser current, optical transmit/receive power and temperature when the host hardware supports the feature.

Suitable for

• High-performance data centre uplinks and leaf-spine fabrics
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections within or between adjacent racks
• Storage area network (SAN) interconnects and aggregation links
• Low-latency InfiniBand or 40G Ethernet environments

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC)
• Connector type: QSFP to QSFP
• Supported standard: 40GBASE-SR4 class optical transmission
• Colour: Aqua
• Integrated digital diagnostics: DDM/DOM (requires host support)

How to use

Install the QSFP AOC by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your devices until the latch engages. Ensure both ends are seated properly and the host ports support QSFP AOC connectivity and the required 40GBASE-SR4 protocol. If digital diagnostics are required, verify that the connected hardware supports DDM/DOM to access status and optical parameters. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; follow rack and cable management best practices to maintain optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid bend radii smaller than the manufacturer’s recommendation, protect connectors from dust when not in use, and confirm interoperability with your host devices’ QSFP AOC listings. Use this cable for short-reach high-speed links inside racks or between adjacent racks and enable DDM/DOM monitoring on compatible systems to assist maintenance and troubleshooting.
