InfiniBand/kuituoptinen kaapeli BlueOptics 740-084670-BO 20 m SFP28 aqua

The BlueOptics 740-084670-BO is a 20 m InfiniBand / fibre optic active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors at both ends and an aqua jacket. Designed for high-speed data transmission, this SFP28-to-SFP28 AOC supports multimode optical links for data center and networking equipment that accept SFP28 optical interfaces. The cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules on each end and follows MSA guidelines for SFP28 AOC implementations.

Advantages

This 20 m Active Optical Cable delivers a pre-assembled, factory-terminated multimode fiber connection that eliminates the need for field termination or patch-cord cleaning and reduces insertion loss typical of separate patch connections. As an SFP28 AOC it enables simultaneous optical send and receive and supports high-speed Ethernet and related optical protocols up to 25 Gbit/s per lane within the supported link length. The cable's design reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and simplifies link deployment in racks and data center environments.

Suitable for

• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections in data centers
• High-speed InfiniBand or Ethernet links using SFP28 ports
• Storage networking and SAN uplinks requiring multimode optical AOCs
• Short-range optical interconnects inside racks and across adjacent racks

Key specifications

• Cable type: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with multimode fiber
• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 20 metres
• Supported per-link data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per lane (25GBASE-SR4 class applications)
• Jacket colour: aqua
• Transmission medium: optical (laser-based) multimode
• Digital diagnostics: supports DDM/DOM monitoring where host hardware provides support

How to use

Install the BlueOptics 20 m SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the appropriate host SFP28 slot until the module latches. Ensure both connected devices support SFP28 AOC modules and, if needed, enable or verify digital diagnostics support in the host system to monitor link parameters. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; secure it in the rack to prevent movement that could stress connectors. No field termination or polishing is required — the cable is ready for plug-and-play operation once properly seated.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify compatibility with the target switch, router, or storage platform and confirm that the host firmware or driver supports third-party SFP28 AOCs and DDM/DOM if monitoring is required. Avoid bending the optical cable beyond recommended minimum bend radius and keep connectors clean when handling to maintain optimal optical performance.
