The InLine Cable KVM Switch is a 2-port DisplayPort 1.2 USB KVM switch that lets you control two computers using a single keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers and microphone. It includes two sets of USB KVM and audio/mic combo cables and a wired QuickSwitch button for fast, direct switching. The switch supports DisplayPort 1.2 video up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and uses USB 2.0 for peripheral connectivity, enabling plug-and-play and hot-plug operation.

Advantages

This KVM switch consolidates control of two USB-enabled multimedia computers into one workstation without additional drivers. It provides hardware and software switching options: the included wired QuickSwitch button for one-touch toggling and a lightweight Windows/Mac client for KVM switching tasks such as computer selection, hotkey programming, autoscanning and independent or simultaneous audio/computer switching. Two USB 2.0 ports support keyboard and mouse connections and can also host other high-speed USB devices. The compact, one-piece cable design simplifies installation and saves desk space.

Recommendations

For optimal video performance at 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, use DisplayPort 1.2–compliant cables and ensure connected graphics cards and monitors support 4K@60Hz. When using USB devices with higher bandwidth needs, verify compatibility with USB 2.0 limits.
