InLine Mini SAS HD -kaapeli SFF-8643 - SFF-8087 sidebandilla 1 m

This internal Mini SAS HD cable (InLine Mini SAS HD Cable SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 1m, MPN 27628B) is designed to connect devices with a Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643) interface to devices or backplanes using a SAS SFF-8087 connector. The 1 m cable supports high-reliability data transfer for SAS storage environments and includes sideband communication support to maintain control signals between controller and target devices.

Advantages

The cable provides a compact internal connection between Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) ports and SFF-8087 backplanes or controllers. Its 1-meter length is suitable for rack or chassis installations, and the design supports sideband communication for enhanced compatibility with SAS controllers. The InLine build ensures stable signal transmission and predictable behavior in typical storage configurations.

Suitable for

• Connecting a SAS controller with Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) ports to a backplane or storage array with SFF-8087
• Internal cabling inside servers, storage enclosures, and rack-mounted chassis
• Upgrading or replacing internal SAS interconnects in enterprise or SMB storage systems

Key specifications

• Length: 1 m
• Connector A: Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643)
• Connector B: SAS SFF-8087
• Brand: InLine
• MPN: 27628B

How to use

Power down the host and target devices before installation. Insert the SFF-8643 connector into the Mini SAS HD port on the controller and the SFF-8087 connector into the backplane or target device, ensuring correct orientation and a firm seat. Route the cable inside the chassis to avoid sharp bends and interference with cooling airflow. After secure connections, power on the system and verify link status in the controller management interface or system BIOS.

Recommendations

Use this internal cable only for SAS connections inside server or storage chassis. Avoid external exposure to dust and moisture and do not bend the cable sharply near the connectors. Confirm controller and backplane compatibility with SFF-8643 to SFF-8087 cabling and check firmware or controller documentation if sideband signals are required.
