The Rollei Monkey Pod 2 for Smartphone/Digital Camera Black is a compact tripod designed to support lightweight cameras and mobile devices. With a maximum height of 31 cm and a rated payload up to 2 kg, this three-legged support provides stable positioning for photography and video recording in varied environments. Its foldable, portable form factor and neutral black finish make it suitable for everyday use, travel, vlogging and tabletop shooting.

Advantages

The Monkey Pod 2 combines small size with a 3-leg design that increases stability compared with single-point mounts. Its construction supports both smartphones and small digital cameras, allowing quick switching between devices. The low profile reduces vibrations when placed on flat surfaces, and the tripod’s lightweight build improves portability for outdoor and on-the-go setups.

Suitable for

• Smartphone photography and video recording

• Tabletop product photography and close-up stills
• Vlogging, video calls and live streaming at short distance

Key specifications

• Number of legs: 3
• Maximum height: 310 mm
• Maximum load capacity: up to 2 kg
• Compatible devices: smartphones and compact digital cameras
• Colour: black

How to use

Set the tripod on a flat surface and spread the three legs to achieve a stable base. Mount your smartphone or camera using the appropriate holder or camera thread, ensuring the device is securely attached before releasing it. Adjust the angle by repositioning the legs or tilting the device to frame the shot. For low-angle shots, keep the tripod compact and place it close to the subject; for tabletop work ensure the surface is steady and avoid touching the device during exposure to minimize shake.

Recommendations

Use the Rollei Monkey Pod 2 with devices that do not exceed the 2 kg load limit and check the mounting stability before each use. For improved grip on smooth surfaces, place the legs on a non-slip mat. When transporting, fold the legs together and store the tripod in a protective pouch to prevent scratches.
