The AS Schwabe 50511 extension cable is a 5 m mains lead with a 16 A current rating designed to provide a reliable, flexible connection between a wall socket and electrical appliances. Intended primarily for indoor and temporary power setups, this cable extends the reach of household and light professional devices while maintaining standard mains safety and compatibility. The construction balances flexibility and mechanical robustness to allow easy routing around furniture and through workspaces.

Advantages

The 16 A rating supports a wide range of domestic appliances and light professional tools without exceeding typical circuit limits. Its 5 m length offers additional reach while remaining compact enough for storage. How to use

Unwind the cable fully before use to avoid heat build-up. Plug the male connector firmly into a compatible wall socket and connect the appliance to the female connector. Ensure that the total current draw of connected devices does not exceed 16 A. Keep the cable away from sharp edges, hot surfaces, and wet areas. For safety, do not use the cable with outdoor equipment unless additional protection rated for outdoor use is applied.

Recommendations

Inspect the cable and connectors regularly for signs of wear, damage, or loose connections. Do not use the extension lead if insulation is cut or connectors are damaged. For continuous or heavy-duty applications, consider a permanently installed circuit or a cable with a higher current rating and appropriate environmental protection.
