Kaapeliadapteri RJ-45 ShiverPeaks BS08-01043

The ShiverPeaks BS08-01043 Cable Gender Changer RJ-45 ShiverPeaks BS08-01043 is a compact adapter that converts the connector gender of standard RJ-45 network cables, allowing two patch cords to be joined directly. Finished in black and built for straightforward installation, this gender changer provides a simple physical link between two Ethernet cables without altering network signaling or requiring additional tools. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for use in confined spaces such as wall plates, patch panels, or behind equipment racks.

Advantages

This RJ-45 gender changer offers a reliable mechanical connection with a focus on durability and consistent contact. The straightforward design minimizes insertion and removal strain on cable ends and simplifies temporary or permanent cable extensions. Its neutral color and small footprint make it unobtrusive in both home and office network environments.

Suitable for

• Extending existing Ethernet patch cables without replacing them
• Connecting two RJ-45 cables in a patch panel or behind networking equipment
• Temporary network setups, testing and diagnostics
• Home and small office wired networking

Key specifications

• Connector type: female RJ-45 to female RJ-45 (gender conversion)
• Color: black
• Compatibility: standard 8P8C Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a, depending on cable construction)
• Form factor: compact inline adapter
• Use environment: indoor networking applications

How to use

To use the ShiverPeaks RJ-45 gender changer, align the RJ-45 plugs of the two Ethernet cables with the adapter’s female ports and insert them until they click into place. Ensure that both cable terminations are intact and fully seated to maintain signal integrity. The adapter does not require any configuration; it functions purely as a passive mechanical link. For removal, depress the plug latch and pull the cable straight out to avoid damaging the connector.

Recommendations

Use this adapter when you need a quick and non-permanent way to join two Ethernet cables. Avoid placing the adapter under tension or in locations where repeated mechanical stress could loosen contacts. For permanent or high-performance links, consider using a single continuous cable of appropriate category to ensure optimal signal performance.
