Kaapeliläpivienti ACT RJ45 musta läpivienti 5,5 mm kaapelille

The ACT RJ45 black boot for 5.5 mm cable is a protective cover designed to fit over standard RJ-45 connector housings and the cable jacket. Made to match the shape and diameter of a 5.5 mm cable, this black boot helps shield the connector strain relief area from bending, abrasion and everyday wear. It provides a neat finish to patch leads and permanently installed cables while remaining compatible with common RJ-45 plugs used in networking environments.

Advantages

The boot delivers mechanical protection at the connector end, reducing stress on the cable conductor and connector latch. Its black color provides a discreet, professional look and aids in cable management by visually grouping runs. The flexible material supports repeated flexing without cracking, and the snug fit helps keep dust and debris away from the connector base.

Suitable for

• Patch cables and custom-made network leads with 5.5 mm outer diameter
• Office and data centre cabling where connector strain relief is required
• Home networking and AV setups needing tidy, protected cable terminations

Key specifications

• Compatible cable diameter: approx. 5.5 mm
• Colour: black
• Material: flexible protective polymer (moulded boot)
• Function: strain relief and connector protection for RJ-45 terminations
• Fit type: slip-on boot for standard RJ-45 connectors

How to use

Slide the boot over the cable before crimping the RJ-45 connector, then push it forward to cover the connector body and the junction between plug and cable. Ensure the boot is seated so the cable jacket is inside the rear of the boot and the boot’s front section covers the plug shroud. If using pre-assembled plugs, remove the plug first, fit the boot, then re-terminate or use a compatible pre-crimped solution where the boot can be applied post-assembly if the design allows.

Recommendations

For reliable results, verify the actual outer diameter of the cable before fitting to ensure a proper fit. Avoid excessive force when sliding the boot into place to prevent tearing. Store spare boots in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight to maintain material flexibility.
