Kaapeliliitin ShiverPeaks BS51210-MG-2

The ShiverPeaks BS51210-MG-2 is a 3.5 mm female wire connector finished in gold and supplied as a pack of two. Designed for audio and video cable applications, this connector provides a female jack interface that accepts standard 3.5 mm male plugs. The gold finish improves contact conductivity and corrosion resistance while the compact metal housing supports a secure mechanical connection for cabling and device interfaces.

Advantages

The gold-plated contact surface enhances electrical conductivity and reduces signal loss. The compact, machined housing offers mechanical durability and a stable fit for standard 3.5 mm plugs. Supplied in pairs, the pack allows replacement or parallel installations without sourcing individual connectors. The connector is compatible with common audio cabling and is intended for straightforward, reliable connections between devices.

Suitable for

• Repairing or replacing damaged 3.5 mm female jacks in audio equipment
• Custom audio cable assemblies and DIY cable projects
• Connecting portable audio players, headphones, speakers, and amplifiers
• Workshop or production environments requiring spare audio connectors

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm female (jack)
• Contact finish: gold-plated for improved conductivity
• Pack contents: 2 connectors
• Housing: compact metal construction for mechanical strength
• Intended use: audio signal transmission for line-level and headphone connections

How to use

Prepare the cable by stripping the outer insulation and separating the conductor(s) according to the connector's assembly method. Solder or crimp the cable conductors to the connector contacts following standard wiring conventions (tip for left/right or signal, sleeve for ground). Insert the assembled connector into the device or cable housing and secure any retaining screws or sleeves to ensure a stable mechanical and electrical connection. Verify correct polarity and continuity before final installation.

Recommendations

Use appropriate soldering tools and desoldering protection to avoid heat damage. For best performance, keep contacts clean and avoid excessive mechanical stress on the cable near the connector. When used in humid or corrosive environments, inspect contacts periodically and replace if signs of wear or oxidation appear.
