Kaapelisovitin MediaRange MRCS171

The MediaRange MRCS171 is a compact HDMI to DVI-I gender changer designed to connect HDMI sources to DVI-I displays. It has gold-plated contacts to improve signal transmission and resist corrosion, and a black finish for a discreet fit in home or office environments.

Advantages

Gold-plated contacts provide improved conductivity and reduced signal loss. The DVI-I socket supports both digital and analog signals where the connected device and cable support them. The compact, connector-only design saves space and simplifies connection between HDMI-equipped source devices and DVI-I monitors or projectors.

Suitable for

• Connecting an HDMI output (laptop, PC, set-top box) to a DVI-I monitor or projector
• Use in home entertainment setups where HDMI sources must be adapted to DVI-I displays
• Office workstations that require legacy DVI-I displays to be used with modern HDMI devices

Key specifications

• Connector A: HDMI plug
• Connector B: DVI-I socket (24+5 pin)
• Contacts: Gold-plated
• Colour: Black
• Type: Gender changer / adapter

How to use

Insert the HDMI plug into the HDMI output of your source device and connect a DVI-I cable or plug into the DVI-I socket on the adapter. Ensure both devices are powered off when connecting or disconnecting to avoid potential signal issues. After connections are made, power on the devices and select the correct input on the display if necessary.

Recommendations

For digital video, use a high-quality DVI or HDMI cable to maintain signal integrity. Remember that DVI-I can carry analog signals only if the connected output supports analog; this adapter does not convert between digital and analog standards by itself.
