Kaasuilmaisin Shelly Gas CNG

The Shelly Gas CNG is a compact natural gas detector for home and small-business use. Powered from AC (110–230 V, 500 mA), it monitors ambient air for combustible natural gas and provides audible and visual alerts. The device supports Wi‑Fi connectivity for remote notifications and can be paired with compatible add-ons to trigger valve shutoff or other automated actions. Its dimensions (89.5 × 38 × 89.5 mm) and straightforward plug-in design simplify installation in kitchens, utility rooms, and commercial kitchens.

Advantages

Shelly Gas CNG offers high sensitivity to detect even slight natural gas leaks and delivers immediate local alarms (loud buzzer and red LED) along with smart notifications over Wi‑Fi. The device is designed for continuous operation on standard AC power and has a compact form factor for flexible placement. Integration with automation scenes allows automatic responses, such as closing a gas valve or opening windows when a leak is detected.

Suitable for

• Home kitchens and utility rooms
• Restaurants and small commercial kitchens
• Households with elderly residents
• Properties where remote monitoring and automated valve shutoff are required

How to use

Install the Shelly Gas CNG in a location near potential gas sources such as kitchen stoves, gas ovens, or gas meters, using a nearby AC outlet. Plug the device in and follow the manufacturer app instructions to connect it to your Wi‑Fi network. Allow a short warm-up period until the device indicates it is ready. In the app, configure alarm thresholds, notification preferences, and any automation scenes to trigger actions (for example, closing a valve or sending alerts to a phone). Test the alarm and notification flow after installation to confirm proper operation.

Recommendations

Place the detector on or near the level of gas sources, avoid completely enclosed or obstructed locations, and perform regular functional tests. Combine the Shelly Gas CNG with a compatible automatic shutoff add-on where possible, and ensure the device remains powered continuously. Replace or service the detector according to manufacturer guidance if sensitivity degrades.
