Kaiutin Tannoy PCI 5DC IW 5 tuuman Premium 100W

The Tannoy PCI 5DC IW 5" Premium 100W is a 5-inch in-wall speaker engineered for fixed installation in residential and commercial environments. It uses a dual concentric driver layout to deliver coherent point-source sound from a compact in-wall form factor. With 100 W power handling and a design focused on consistent dispersion and clarity, this speaker is intended to provide background and foreground audio where unobtrusive, reliable performance is required.

Advantages

The dual concentric configuration aligns low- and high-frequency drivers on the same acoustic axis, reducing phase issues and improving imaging compared with separate-driver designs. Its in-wall format reduces visual impact and saves space while maintaining wideband frequency response suitable for music and speech. The specified power handling supports moderate to high playback levels in typical rooms without compromising durability.

Suitable for

• Built-in audio systems in homes and apartments
• Background and foreground music in restaurants, cafés and retail spaces
• Conference rooms, meeting spaces and corporate audio installations
• Multi-room distributed audio systems

Key specifications

• Driver format: 5-inch dual concentric driver
• Power handling: 100 W (continuous program capacity)
• Mounting type: in-wall installation with flush grille
• Dispersion: designed for even sound distribution in-room
• Application: fixed installation for residential and commercial use

How to use

Choose a suitable wall location clear of major obstructions and wiring, and cut an opening sized for the speaker’s mounting frame. Run speaker cabling from the amplifier or distribution network to the installation point, ensuring correct polarity. Fit the speaker into the wall aperture and secure it according to the manufacturer’s mounting method so the driver assembly and grille sit flush with the wall surface. Connect to an amplifier or AV distribution system that matches the speaker’s power handling and impedance characteristics, and set crossover or EQ settings as required by the room acoustics and intended use.

Recommendations

Use balanced placement and appropriate amplifier power to avoid overstressing the driver. For multi-speaker systems, calibrate levels and delays for uniform coverage. When installing in moisture-prone areas, verify wall cavity conditions and use suitable protection or models rated for damp locations.
