Monitorikaiutin Tannoy GOLD 8 300W

The Tannoy GOLD 8 300W monitor speaker is a professional nearfield/ midfield reference loudspeaker designed for accurate studio monitoring and critical listening. It features an 8" driver and a high-power handling capability of 300W, providing a detailed, balanced sound across a wide frequency range. The cabinet is built for stability and low coloration, and the speaker’s neutral tonal balance supports mix decisions and precise audio evaluation in recording, post-production and mastering environments.

Advantages

The Tannoy GOLD 8 combines a robust 300W power handling with an 8" driver to deliver clear midrange presence and controlled low frequencies without exaggeration. Its wide frequency response preserves detail from low to high end, while a solid cabinet construction reduces resonance and distortion. The speaker’s neutral voicing and consistent dispersion make it suitable for revealing tonal imbalances and ensuring reliable translation across playback systems.

Suitable for

• Studio tracking and mixing
• Post-production and editing work
• Mastering reference monitoring
• Critical listening sessions and audio evaluation

Key specifications

• Driver size: 8-inch low/mid driver
• Power handling: 300 W
• Frequency response: wide range for accurate monitoring
• Enclosure: rigid cabinet designed to minimize resonance
• Dispersion: consistent horizontal and vertical coverage for reliable imaging
• Intended use: nearfield or midfield reference monitoring

How to use

Place the Tannoy GOLD 8 speakers on stable stands or built-in monitor positions at ear height for listening. Position them at an equilateral triangle with the listening position for optimal imaging and stereo balance, and allow adequate distance from walls to reduce bass buildup. Connect to a suitable amplifier or powered monitor controller that matches the speaker’s power and impedance characteristics, and perform level matching and basic room equalization to adapt to your acoustic environment. Use reference material to check tonal balance and make adjustment decisions during mixing or mastering.

Recommendations

For consistent and accurate monitoring, pair the GOLD 8 with an appropriate monitor controller or amplifier, calibrate listening levels, and perform room treatment or equalization as needed to minimize acoustic interference and obtain reliable mix translation.
