Kamerasarja Novoflex CASTEL-COP-DIGI

The Novoflex CASTEL-COP-DIGI slide duplicator enables fast digital capture of framed 35 mm slides, film strips and medium-format originals up to 6×7 cm using a digital camera. Designed to mount on Novoflex focusing racks (CASTEL-L, CASTEL-Q, CASTEL-MINI) and compatible bellows with rack-and-pinion drive (for example BALPRO 1, BALPRO T/S or BALCAN-AF), the unit positions originals reliably and supports macro lenses up to 105 mm. This solution is intended for photographers who prefer camera-based digitization over flatbed or dedicated slide scanners when converting larger quantities of slides and negatives.

Advantages

Camera-based duplication with the CASTEL-COP-DIGI typically delivers higher image quality than many slide scanners (subject to the camera and lens used) and allows markedly faster throughput when processing batches of slides or negatives. The duplicator ensures precise, repeatable alignment of framed slides and film strips and is compact and lightweight for easy integration into existing Novoflex setups.

Suitable for

• Digitizing framed 35 mm slides
• Digitizing film strips and negatives
• Digitizing medium-format originals up to 6×7 cm
• Batch conversion workflows using a digital camera and macro lens

Key specifications

• Compatibility: Novoflex CASTEL-L, CASTEL-Q, CASTEL-MINI focusing racks; most Novoflex bellows with rack-and-pinion drive (e.g., BALPRO 1, BALPRO T/S, BALCAN-AF)
• Supported original sizes: 35 mm framed slides, film strips, medium format up to 6×7 cm
• Supports macro lenses up to 105 mm
• Intended use: camera-based slide/negative duplication for faster batch digitization

How to use

Mount the CASTEL-COP-DIGI on a compatible Novoflex focusing rack or bellows and attach your camera with a suitable macro lens (maximum 105 mm). Insert the framed slide or film strip into the duplicator’s holder so it is correctly seated and aligned. Adjust focus and exposure on the camera, then capture the image. For consistent results, use stable lighting and fixed camera settings, and process images in post-production for color and dust/spot removal as needed.

Recommendations

For best results, use a modern high-resolution digital camera and a sharp macro lens, maintain uniform, neutral lighting, and secure the assembly on a stable support. When digitizing large batches, keep camera settings constant and verify framing periodically to ensure repeatable alignment.
