Kattokaiutin Omnitronic CST-808 2-tie 8 Ω 20 W

The Omnitronic CST-808 is a ceiling-mounted, 2-way speaker designed for in-ceiling audio installations. With an 8 Ω impedance and 20 W nominal power handling, it delivers a balanced reproduction of highs and lows through separate tweeter and woofer drivers while remaining visually discreet due to its flush-mounted design. The speaker is intended for environments that require unobtrusive sound reinforcement such as background music systems, public-address areas and retail spaces, and it can be integrated into existing audio setups with standard low-impedance amplifier outputs.

Advantages

The CST-808 offers a compact, low-profile solution that combines a separate high-frequency driver and low-frequency driver for clearer tonal balance than single-driver ceiling units. Its 8 ohm impedance makes it compatible with most common amplifiers and mixers without the need for additional transformers. The construction supports straightforward installation into standard ceiling cutouts and provides reliable sound dispersion suitable for even coverage in medium-sized rooms.

How to use

Install the Omnitronic CST-808 into a compatible ceiling cutout following standard safety practices and local electrical codes. Connect the speaker to an amplifier or mixer output rated for an 8 ohm load, observing correct polarity for each speaker cable. Position multiple units evenly across the coverage area for consistent sound distribution. Adjust amplifier gain and any equalization settings to achieve the desired balance between voice clarity and background music level. Periodic visual inspection of the grille and wiring connections is recommended to ensure ongoing performance.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use the CST-808 in environments where subtle, evenly distributed sound is required rather than high-SPL or deep-bass applications. Pair with amplifiers that deliver clean power at 8 Ω and, when installing multiple speakers, plan placement to avoid overlap that can cause phasing issues. For enhanced speech intelligibility in PA use, apply modest high-frequency presence and limit excessive low-frequency boost.
