Ketjulukko ABUS 48566 musta valkoinen 850 mm karkaistu teräs

The ABUS 48566 Black White 850 mm Hardened steel chain lock is a compact security solution for bicycles, designed to combine robust protection with manageable weight. With an overall length of 850 mm and construction from hardened steel, this chain lock offers resistance to common cutting and sawing attempts while remaining portable enough for everyday use. The lock’s black and white finish provides a neutral, modern appearance that fits a wide range of bike styles.

Advantages

The hardened steel chain links increase resistance to mechanical attacks, and the chain’s length of 850 mm enables secure locking to many fixed objects without excessive bulk. At approximately 1.05 kg, the lock balances strength and transportability for commuters and leisure cyclists. The design reduces exposed moving parts, helping to limit dirt ingress and maintain operation over time.

Suitable for

• Securing commuter and city bicycles in urban environments
• Locking a bicycle to racks, poles or railings during short stops
• Supplementary security for medium-risk locations such as parks or retail areas

Key specifications

• Chain length: 850 mm
• Material: hardened steel links
• Finish: black and white coating
• Weight: 1.05 kg

How to use

Wrap the chain around a fixed, immovable object and pass the chain through the bicycle frame and ideally the rear wheel before securing the lock. Ensure the chain is routed so that the lock body is positioned away from the ground and cannot be easily levered. Close the locking mechanism according to the manufacturer’s key or combination operation and check the lock engages fully before leaving the bicycle unattended.

Recommendations

For improved security, use the chain lock in combination with an additional lock to immobilize the front wheel or seat post. Choose well-lit and busy locations when parking your bicycle and avoid thin trees or removable fixtures. Regularly inspect the chain and locking mechanism for signs of wear or corrosion, and lubricate the lock cylinder periodically with a suitable lubricant to ensure reliable operation.
